Every Body Therapy and Consulting

As a disability consultant, I help churches and parachurch organizations become more accessible and welcoming to people with disabilities. Everyone is made in God's image and is essential to the body of Christ, but belonging doesn’t just happen. It requires intentionality, and often change. I help others consider the experiences of children and adults with all different types of disabilities, acquired or from birth, apparent or non-apparent and identify “low hanging fruit,” and, often low-cost, solutions that can make a big difference. Using the framework of universal and responsive design and accessibility best practices, I help churches get creative with how to make their worship, communication, spaces and programming more accessible so that all of God's people experience belonging. In addition to evaluating programs, I write, edit, consult and speak to audiences about disability and accessibility to increase awareness and provide practical tips. I am also a social worker and mental health therapist and a passionate advocate for mental health.
