MENA Trauma Healing Resources Center (THRC) is a US-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping individuals affected by conflicts and crises and dealing with disability and mental health problems in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA). We provide accessible training and inclusive support to empower survivors of trauma and emotional distress to recover, heal, and rebuild their lives.At THRC, we believe in inclusivity and strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Our team comprises trained lay counselors and external mental health professionals who offer a range of evidence-based services to promote healing and resilience.Our goal is to make support readily available to those in need through our accessible training and services. Our lay counseling services provide a confidential space for individuals to process their experiences and work through their emotions. Additionally, our support groups offer a sense of community and belonging, connecting survivors who have faced similar challenges.Moreover, we focus on community-building activities that foster social connectedness and instill a renewed sense of purpose, helping individuals reclaim their hope for the future. THRC is committed to ensuring that our training and services are accessible to all, regardless of their background, gender, ethnicity, or ability.
